Karnataka to Conduct Fresh Caste Re-enumeration
Karnataka's government is going to do a new count of different castes in the state, following orders from the Congress party leadership.
This is because some groups felt the last survey, done in 2015, wasn't accurate.
The new count, expected to take about two months, will update the existing data.
This decision addresses concerns about data accuracy, especially as many people's caste and social standing have changed since the last survey.
