DRDO Developing Iron Dome-Like Systems, Expanding Missile Arsenal
Imagine India wants to build a super strong shield to protect itself, like in a superhero movie!
The DRDO, the group that makes these shields, is working on it.
They are creating layers of defense, like Iron Dome.
Right now, they have missiles like Akash.
They are also working on new and improved missiles, like Kusha.
They are also making the Brahmos missile even better and making sure it can be used on many different kinds of planes.
Plus they're working on even more awesome missiles called Astra and Rudram to help protect the country!
DRDO is developing layered defense systems similar to the Iron Dome.
Existing defense systems include Akash, QRSAM, and S-400 missiles.
Work is underway on the Kusha missile, comparable to S-500.
The Brahmos missile is being developed for extended range and integration into more aircraft.
Astra air-to-air missiles and the Rudram missile are also in development.
