Schengen Visas: Rules, Applications, and Rejection Appeals

Schengen Visas: Rules, Applications, and Rejection Appeals

A Schengen visa lets non-EU citizens visit certain European countries for a short time, like a tourist pass.

These countries, called the Schengen Area, don't have border checks between them.

If you're just passing through a Schengen airport on your way to another country, you might need an Airport Transit Visa.

To get a Schengen visa, you apply at the consulate of the country you'll spend the most time in.

If your visa is denied, you can appeal the decision, but you won't get your money back.

You can always try applying again, just make sure to address the reasons for the first rejection.
