MMC Chief Orders Priority Desilting of Devender Nagar Drain
A city commissioner inspected a drain in Devender Nagar-Ramanthapur.
He found that silt and waste needed to be removed.
He told officials to clean the drain quickly.
They must also make sure water can flow freely during the rainy season.
Garbage and construction waste along the drain will be cleared.
Officials will look for buildings or other encroachments that block the drain.
They were also asked to plant trees in suitable areas nearby.
Several municipal departments will work together on the project.
Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy ordered priority desilting of the Devender Nagar-Ramanthapur Nala.
Officials reviewed the drain’s condition, surrounding cleanliness, water flow and infrastructure maintenance during a field inspection.
Special sanitation measures were ordered to remove garbage, litter, waste and construction-and-demolition debris along the drain.
Officials were directed to identify and remove encroachments and prevent further construction or obstructions along the nala margins.
Engineering, Sanitation, UBD and Town Planning departments were told to coordinate on drain development and maintenance.
