Rajasthan Board to Hold Class 10, 12 Exams Twice Annually
Imagine your final school tests, like for 10th and 12th grade, you usually only get one shot.
But in Rajasthan, starting in 2026, you'll get two chances each year!
The first test will be required for everyone.
If you want to do even better or fix a subject you didn't do well in, you can take another test in the summer.
Your best score from the two tests will be your final grade.
This is to help you feel less worried about exams and give you more chances to show what you know.
It's like how another big school board, CBSE, is starting to do this too.
The goal is to make learning less stressful and fairer for everyone.
Rajasthan Board (RBSE) will conduct Class 10 and 12 exams twice a year starting from the 2026-27 academic session.
The first exam is mandatory for all students.
An optional second exam will be held in May-June for students to improve scores in up to three subjects.
The highest score from the two attempts will be considered for the final result.
The reform aims to reduce exam stress, increase flexibility, and provide more opportunities for students, similar to a model adopted by CBSE.
