Kerala Consumer Commission Awards Rs 15,000 Over Metallic Dessert Object

Kerala Consumer Commission Awards Rs 15,000 Over Metallic Dessert Object

A man bought a dessert called Pista Kunafa from an outlet in Kerala.

He said he found a thin metal object inside the pastry.

He complained about the food and the businesses involved.

The Palakkad consumer commission considered his complaint.

On September 3, it ordered the outlet and its parent company to pay him Rs 15,000.

The commission said the businesses had not properly handled their responsibilities.

It also said their actions could be considered poor service or an unfair trade practice.

The businesses did not take part in the proceedings after the complaint was filed.
