Dalit Killing Sparks Firing, Arson, and Vandalism in MP Village
A village in India became tense after a young Dalit man was killed.
Following the killing, a group of armed men attacked another family's home.
They shot guns, broke things like TVs and furniture, and then set the house and a car on fire.
The family ran away in fear but came back when the police arrived.
Police have filed charges against nine people involved in the attack and are looking for the others who escaped.
A Dalit youth, Ali alias Rudra Pratap Singh Jatav, was murdered in Riniya village.
Following the murder, armed assailants attacked a local resident's home, firing shots and vandalizing property.
The attackers also set the house and a car on fire, with damages estimated between Rs 15-20 lakh.
Nine individuals have been booked by the police under various sections of the BNS for arson, assault, and unlawful assembly.
Police are investigating the incident and searching for the remaining unidentified accused.
