Defenders and institutional positions
China refers to Arunachal Pradesh as Zangnan or South Tibet and claims the region belongs to China; its participation in the tourism event remained unconfirmed.
Bilateral Investment Treaties
Claimants and reform advocates

Defenders and institutional positions
India’s model seeks to require investors to use domestic legal remedies before international arbitration, while newer agreements have reduced the period to three years.
Capital punishment and execution methods
Claimants and reform advocates
Critics argue that botched lethal injections can cause pain and cruelty, undermining the stated aim of minimising suffering during executions.
Defenders and institutional positions
Authorities in countries retaining capital punishment generally justify specified execution methods as ways to impose the sentence while limiting suffering.
