Indian community celebrates India's 80th Independence Day in Hong Kong

Every year, India celebrates the day it became a free country many years ago.

This year is the 80th time they celebrate that special day.

Indian people who live in Hong Kong decided to throw a big evening party to honor this.

The party was organized by a group called the Indian Association in Hong Kong.

The leader of Hong Kong, John Lee Ka-chiu, came to the party too.

He thanked the Indian community for helping Hong Kong grow and do well.

India's representative in Hong Kong, Consul General Rajesh Naik, gave a speech about India getting stronger and smarter.

People from embassies, business leaders, and Indian families all enjoyed the evening together.

The night was all about celebrating friendship between India and Hong Kong.

A month before, the same representative visited a war memorial to remember Indian soldiers who fought bravely for their country.
