Chirag Paswan, a government minister, received a threatening letter by post.

The letter was unsigned and included two mobile numbers.

It said he would soon be killed by “hardcore terrorists.”

His office told the Home Ministry about the letter.

The office asked officials to find out who sent it and whether it was genuine.

It also asked them to check whether his security should be increased.

The person or group behind the threat has not been identified.

Reports describe Paswan’s current protection as either Z-category or Z-Plus security.
