Mizoram Assembly Monsoon Session Scheduled for Late August
The Mizoram legislative Assembly is set to have its monsoon session on August 27th and 28th.
This session is a meeting of the state's lawmakers and is the fifth session since the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) took office in late 2023.
During the session, members will discuss new bills, including the 'Mizoram Local Body Ombudsman Bill, 2025,' and an amendment from the land revenue department.
They will also review a resolution from the forest department.
Ministers will answer questions submitted by the Assembly members.
The session's schedule was decided by the Business Advisory Committee.
Mizoram's legislative Assembly will convene its monsoon session on August 27 and 28.
The session is the fifth of the 9th state legislative Assembly.
The Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) came into power in December 2023.
The Assembly secretariat received 'The Mizoram Local Body Ombudsman Bill, 2025' and an amendment bill.
A forest department resolution and questions are expected to be addressed.
