Punjab RERA Orders Omaxe to Pay Delay Interest

Punjab RERA Orders Omaxe to Pay Delay Interest

The Punjab Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has told a company named Omaxe to pay Rs 44.63 lakh because they were late in giving homes to some people.

The people, Anil Kumar Sanghi and Sunita Sanghi, had paid most of the money for their home in a project called 'The Lake' in New Chandigarh.

The company was supposed to give them the home by September 7, 2019, but they didn't.

RERA said the company has to pay this money because they were late.

Even though the building got a certificate saying it was ready in November 2024, RERA said that doesn't mean the company doesn't have to pay for being late.
