India ex-cricketer Laxmi Ratan Shukla misses SIR hearing
Laxmi Ratan Shukla, a former Indian cricketer and coach of the Bengal team, missed a hearing for the Special Investigation Report (SIR) on January 7.
He was in Rajkot for the Vijay Hazare Trophy and couldn't attend.
Shukla has promised to comply with the summons upon his return.
He was also a former legislator and minister of state for sports.
Another cricketer, Mohammed Shami, was also summoned but couldn't appear for similar reasons.
