Delhi Rolls Out Single Smart Card for Easy Public Transport
Delhi is making it easier to get around!
They're launching a special card, the NCMC, that works on all public transport like buses and the metro.
You can just tap the card and go!
The card has different colors: pink for women to ride buses for free, blue for everyone else, and orange for monthly passes.
To get a card, you need to live in Delhi, be at least 12, and have proof of address.
You can get it from your bank, and when you travel, you tell the bus conductor where you are going, and they use a machine to calculate the fare from your card.
Delhi is introducing the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) for public transport.
The NCMC aims for a seamless travel experience.
The card is a prepaid, contactless card.
The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has invited bids for the card's issuance.
The card has three color codes: pink, blue, and orange.
