Driver of Telangana Minister’s Former OSD Arrested in Assault Case

Police arrested the driver of a former aide to Telangana Minister Konda Surekha.

The arrest is connected to a complaint by real estate businessman Gongidi Harikrishna.

Harikrishna says six people attacked him with iron rods and sticks.

He also says they demanded Rs 10 crore from him.

He reported a broken left hand and other injuries.

He underwent surgery on August 10.

Police first registered a zero FIR in Medipally and later moved the case to Jubilee Hills.

The case was filed against former OSD N. Sumanth and five others.

It comes while the Congress party is dealing with controversy involving Surekha’s daughter and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
