ACC Q3: Profit Falls, Revenue Rises 22%
ACC Ltd, a cement company, recently shared its earnings for the last three months of 2023.
While their total revenue (money earned) went up by 22% compared to the same time last year, their net profit (money left after expenses) went down by 63%.
This drop in profit was partly because of some one-time costs related to new labor rules.
However, the company did well in other areas, like selling more cement and making better use of its resources.
They also announced plans to merge with another company, Ambuja Cements, to work more efficiently in the future.
After the announcement, the company's stock price went down a little bit.
ACC's Q3 net profit declined 63% YoY to ₹404.25 crore due to one-time labor code impact.
Revenue grew 21.7% YoY to ₹6,391.17 crore, driven by higher sales volume and demand.
EBITDA increased 53.5% YoY to ₹608 crore, with margin expansion to 9.5%.
ACC remains debt-free with a net worth of ₹20,326 crore and AAA credit ratings.
Proposed merger with Ambuja Cements to improve operational efficiency and growth.
