Florida Executes Man for 1989 Murder
A man named Mark Allen Geralds was put to death by the state of Florida on December 10, 2025.
He was 58 years old.
He was found guilty of killing a woman named Tressa Pettibone in her home in 1989.
The police found out that Geralds had been to Pettibone's house before for work and had asked her son questions about when his dad was away.

He was sentenced to death in 1990, but the sentence was changed and then given again in 1992.
Geralds chose not to appeal his sentence.
This was the 18th execution in Florida this year, and there is one more planned for next week.
