Doctor Funds Emergency Transport for Pregnant Tribal Woman

Kumaram Saraswati is a pregnant tribal woman who became seriously ill because she had very low haemoglobin.

Doctors also found that her baby was not growing as expected.

They said she needed care at a better-equipped hospital.

Saraswati was referred to hospitals in several places before being sent to Warangal.

Her family could not afford the trip.

Dr. Uday Kiran used his own vehicle and money to help take her there.

An ANM and an ASHA worker travelled with her.

She reached CKM Maternal and Child Health Hospital for more treatment and delivery care.
