Zen Technologies Wins ₹108 Crore Tank Simulator Contract
Zen Technologies, an Indian company, just won a big contract worth ₹108 crore from the Ministry of Defence.
They will make special training machines called simulators for tank crews.
These simulators help soldiers practice shooting and handling tanks safely.
The machines copy a real tank's inside, with all the controls and screens.
They can even move to feel like a real tank.
The company's boss, Ashok Atluri, said this shows India can make good defense equipment.
He also said these trainers can save money and help the army be ready faster.
The government wants more of these trainers for all its forces.
Zen Technologies secured a ₹108 crore contract for tank crew gunnery training simulators from the Ministry of Defence.
The simulators are high-fidelity systems replicating tank turret compartments with realistic controls and motion effects.
Deliveries are expected to be completed within 12-24 months.
The contract is part of the MoD's Simulation Framework, prioritizing indigenous defense manufacturing.
Zen Technologies claims these simulators can save the armed forces ₹1,123 crore annually through reduced training costs.
