Pakistan Builds Artificial Island for Offshore Oil Drilling
Pakistan is building an artificial island in the sea to make it easier to find and get oil and gas from under the ocean floor.
This is because the US is interested in helping Pakistan find these resources, and Pakistan thinks it has a lot of oil and gas under the sea.
They have already found some, but it's too early to know if they can get it all out and use it.
Pakistan Petroleum Ltd (PPL) is constructing an artificial offshore island for oil and gas exploration
The island will be used as a stable launchpad for continuous drilling operations off the coast of Sindh
PPL plans to drill around 25 wells once the island is operational, expected by February
US President Donald Trump's interest in Pakistan's oil reserves has boosted exploration efforts
Pakistan has made multiple discoveries and has long claimed substantial oil reserves off its coast
