Hyderabad Police Launch AI-Based Duty System
The Hyderabad City Police have started using a new AI system to assign duties to their City Armed Reserve (CAR) personnel.
This system, developed in two months, uses artificial intelligence to make the process fair and transparent.
It replaces the old manual method, which was slow and sometimes unfair.
The AI system considers things like how long someone has been in the reserve, their rewards, discipline, and health to decide who gets which duty.
It also automatically creates personal duty orders and has a chat assistant for real-time help.
The system processed 1,796 applications and assigned 208 posts in its first rollout.
Two people from Hansa Equity Partners LLP helped create this system.
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar launched a generative AI-based duty allocation system for the City Armed Reserve (CAR).
The system aims to ensure transparency, efficiency, and fairness in duty allotments, replacing the manual method which was prone to errors and bias.
In its initial rollout, the platform processed 1,796 applications and allotted 208 posts across various categories.
The AI-driven platform uses the ‘Hungarian Method’ for score-based allocation, considering factors like seniority, days spent in reserve, rewards, discipline, and health scores.
The system also integrates OpenAI-based tools to automatically generate personalized official posting orders and includes a built-in AI chat assistant for real-time clarifications.
