Narela Warehouse Collapse Injures Two; Alipur Building Collapse Spares Workers
Two construction accidents happened in Delhi on Sunday.
In Narela, part of a warehouse being built fell down.
Two workers, Sunil and Naresh Pajwan, were trapped for a short time.
They were rescued and taken to a hospital.
In a separate accident in Alipur, another unfinished building collapsed.
Officials said a temporary support used during lintel work may have broken there.
Workers in Alipur were checked and found safe.
Emergency teams visited the sites to help and make sure nobody was still trapped.
A portion of an under-construction warehouse collapsed in Narela’s Budhpur area around 11 a.m. Sunday, injuring two labourers.
The injured workers, identified as Sunil, 20, and Naresh Pajwan, 28, were rescued and taken to a hospital.
A separate under-construction building collapsed in Alipur during lintel work, with no casualties reported.
Officials said temporary shuttering support, locally called “balli,” apparently gave way in the Alipur collapse.
Police, fire services, ambulances, and disaster-management teams checked both sites and reported no one missing in Alipur.
