Maharashtra Government to Withdraw 957 Cases Against Maratha Protesters

Imagine people were upset about something and blocked roads to show they were serious.

The government had to arrest some of them and file cases, like giving them tickets for breaking rules.

Now, the government has decided to be understanding and tear up those tickets for almost a thousand people who protested for the Maratha community's rights.

They are doing this because the protesters asked them to.

This means they won't have to go to court or pay fines for those specific protests.

This rule also applies to other groups who protested for social or political reasons, as long as their 'tickets' were filed by the end of 2025.
