Indian-Origin Couple Gives $20 Million to UNT AI College

Anuradha and Vikas Sinha gave $20 million to the University of North Texas.

The money will help students and teachers study artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.

UNT will name a new college after the couple.

The college will offer scholarships and support professors, research and new businesses.

It will also study areas such as cybersecurity, data science and health informatics.

One division will build intelligent computer systems, while another will study how those systems work with people and organizations.

A new institute will connect AI research and education across the university.

Vikas said the couple wants to help students who come to the United States seeking educational opportunities.

UNT President Harrison Keller said the gift will help prepare students for jobs shaped by AI and data.
