Suzuki Halts Fronx Sales After 1-Star Crash Test
The Suzuki Fronx, made in India, got a very low safety score in crash tests in Australia.
The car only got 1 star out of 5 because the seatbelt in the back seat didn't work right during the test.
This is a big problem because it means the car isn't very safe for people sitting in the back.
The testers told the governments in Australia and New Zealand about this issue.
About 1,500 Fronx cars have been sold in Australia, and around 1,115 are being used in New Zealand.
The car is also sold in other countries like South Africa, Japan, Indonesia, and the Middle East.
Suzuki has stopped selling the Fronx in New Zealand and is telling owners not to use the back seats until the problem is fixed.
Suzuki Fronx received a 1-star safety rating in ANCAP crash tests due to a rear seatbelt failure.
The failure affected adult and child occupant protection scores, raising significant safety concerns.
ANCAP has notified vehicle safety regulators in Australia and New Zealand about the test results.
Around 1,500 units of the Fronx have been sold in Australia, with approximately 1,115 units on the road in New Zealand.
Suzuki has halted sales of the Fronx in New Zealand and advised owners not to use the rear seats until the issue is resolved.
