Mahendra Realtors IPO Opens Weakly, Drops 20% at Debut

Imagine a company called Mahendra Realtors that wanted to sell shares to the public for the first time, like asking people to become part-owners.

This is called an IPO.

When they started trading, the shares didn't do well.

Instead of the expected price, they started trading at a lower price than what people paid initially, about 20% less.

The price dropped further, hitting a limit where it couldn't go down any more that day.

This means the company's stock started off with a loss, and investors who bought those shares initially lost some money quickly.
