Mumbai Sees Temporary Rise in Minimum Temperatures

Mumbai has been experiencing warmer nights recently, with the minimum temperature rising to 20.3°C at Santacruz and 21°C at Colaba.

This is a temporary change, and the weather bureau expects the minimum temperature to drop back to 18-19°C by the end of December.

The maximum temperatures are expected to remain normal, around 32-33°C.

This change is due to changing wind patterns and the absence of strong cold winds from the north.

Meanwhile, Bengaluru had one of its coldest mornings in over a decade on Christmas Day, with parts of the city reaching a low of 11.2°C.

This was the second coldest winter in more than a decade, following a low of 12°C in December 2016.

The lowest temperature ever recorded in Bengaluru was 8.9°C in 1883.

So, while Mumbai might feel a bit warmer at night, Bengaluru is experiencing a chilly winter.
