Brazil’s Kolkata Match Brings ₹50 Crore Football Economy
Brazil’s football team is coming to Kolkata to play India.
This is expected to be one of India’s biggest football events.
Reports say the match may cost about ₹50 crore to organize.
Much of that money may go to Brazil as an appearance fee.
The organizers also need to pay for flights, hotels, security and other arrangements.
Fans will buy tickets and may spend money on food, travel and hotels.
Uruguay will also play India in Kolkata a few days later.
The event could help local businesses, but it is not yet clear whether the organizers will make a profit.
The Brazil–India match in Kolkata is estimated to have a budget of around ₹50 crore.
A reported ₹35–40 crore of that amount could be Brazil’s appearance fee, though neither federation has confirmed the figure.
The All India Football Federation reportedly expects to spend nearly ₹6 crore on Brazil’s charter flight and related travel.
Tickets range from ₹999 to ₹15,000, while the three-match window’s ticketing arrangement was reportedly worth about ₹25 crore.
Hotels, restaurants, transport, sponsors and merchandise could extend the match’s economic impact across Kolkata.
