Suella Braverman Joins Farage’s Reform UK
Suella Braverman, who used to be an important member of the Conservative Party in the UK, has decided to leave and join a different political group called Reform UK.
This group is led by Nigel Farage.
Braverman said that the Conservative Party lied about their plans for immigration and that she wants to leave a special group that protects human rights.
She believes that the UK needs to change and become stronger.
This is the latest in a series of high-profile members leaving the Conservative Party for Reform UK, which is currently leading in the polls ahead of the next election in 2029.
Reform UK is a smaller party but is gaining more members in the UK's parliament.
Braverman said she understands that her defection would be difficult news for some in her constituency and that she has not taken this decision lightly.
Suella Braverman, former UK interior minister, has joined Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party from the Conservatives.
Braverman accused the Conservatives of lying to voters about their immigration policies and pledged to leave the European Convention on Human Rights.
She is the latest prominent Conservative to defect to Reform UK, following Robert Jenrick earlier in January.
Reform UK is currently leading in polls ahead of the 2029 UK election, which could end the two-party system.
Braverman’s defection brings the number of Reform UK lawmakers in the House of Commons to eight, compared to over 400 Labour lawmakers.
