North Korea Earns $22 Billion From Russia Arms Deal

North Korea is a country that many other countries agreed not to trade weapons with.

But during a big war in Ukraine, North Korea made a deal with Russia.

Russia needed help for its army, so North Korea sent weapons and even soldiers.

In exchange, North Korea got a very large amount of money, up to $22 billion.

That is so much money it is hard to imagine.

This deal broke the rules that countries agreed on, which is called ignoring sanctions.

North Korea also traded more with another country, China, during this time.

The deal made North Korea and Russia closer allies.
