Women Allegedly Ran Fake Agency Raids Until Wrong Door
Police say two women made a plan to pretend to be government officers.
They allegedly targeted wealthy businesspeople who might have hidden or unreported money.
The group reportedly used fake identification cards, uniforms and official-looking papers.
Other people were allegedly hired to act like members of a raid team.
On August 11, the group went to a businessman’s home in Rohini.
The businessman and his mother asked for a warrant and later called the police.
Neighbours helped keep the group from entering or continuing the alleged raid.
Police are now checking whether the group carried out similar schemes elsewhere.
Police allege Asifa and Pooja Aggarwal posed as CBI, ED and police officials to extort businessmen.
The group allegedly used fake uniforms, identity cards, notices and hired men posing as officials.
