IIT Madras Admits Students Through New Quotas for Arts & Olympiads
IIT Madras is now accepting students based on their talents in arts, culture, and Olympiad achievements.
They have created two new programs.
One is FACE, which is for students who are good at art and culture, and the other is ScOpE, for students who have done well in Olympiad competitions.
To be accepted, students need to have won government awards for arts, score well on the JEE exam, and meet other requirements.
Mentorship will be available.
These programs give students a chance to nurture their talents.
IIT Madras is the first IIT to introduce arts, culture, and Olympiad quotas.
The Fine Arts and Culture Excellence Admissions (FACE) scheme admitted nine students.
Three students were admitted via the Scholarship for Olympiad Performance-based Entry (ScOpE).
FACE is for students excelling in fine arts and culture; ScOpE is for Olympiad winners.
