US Sees India as Key AI Partner
The United States sees India as an important partner in making sure that artificial intelligence and computer chips are safe and available.
A big American official, Jacob Helberg, will go to a meeting in India in February to talk about this.
He said that India wasn't left out of a recent meeting in Washington because of any problems between the countries.
Instead, India is talking to the US separately.
The US wants to work with India to make sure that important technologies are safe and that both countries can benefit.
They are also working with other countries to make sure that technologies like computer chips are not controlled by one country alone.
The US views India as a crucial partner in securing global AI and semiconductor supply chains.
US Under Secretary Jacob Helberg will attend the India AI Impact Summit in February to deepen collaboration.
India's absence from a recent Washington summit was due to bilateral discussions, not diplomatic friction.
The Pax Silica initiative focuses on economic security, including trade rebalancing and supply chain stabilization.
India could potentially join the Pax Silica initiative, following a pattern similar to the Minerals Security Partnership.
