Which SIR Voter Form Handles Aadhaar, Address Changes and Deletions?
Different voter forms are used for different jobs.
Form 6 is for joining the voter list, including when a name is missing from the draft list during the SIR.
Form 7 is for asking officials to remove a name or objecting to one.
Form 8 can update an address or correct other voter details.
Some people who moved say they were directed to use Form 6 instead, and the online system may not accept Form 8 without an earlier enumeration form.
Form 6A is for eligible Indian citizens living overseas.
Form 6B lets voters provide Aadhaar details, but doing so is optional.
Forms 9, 10, 11 and 11A are lists officials display so people can follow applications and objections.
Form 6 is used to register as a voter and to seek addition to the SIR draft roll when a name is missing.
Form 7 lets an elector object to a roll entry or request deletion; an objection against another person requires the applicant to be on that roll.
Form 8 covers address changes, corrections, replacement EPICs and disability marking, but the ECI system may reject it if no pre-filled enumeration form was submitted at the previous address.
Form 6A is for eligible Indian citizens living abroad, while Form 6B is for voluntary Aadhaar authentication of an electoral-roll entry.
Forms 9, 10, 11 and 11A are official lists of applications and objections; voters can check them at electoral registration offices.
