Lumding Division Launches USFD Lab for Enhanced Rail Safety
The Lumding Division of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has opened a new lab to make trains safer.
This lab uses special tools to find cracks in train tracks and welds, preventing accidents.
It has training materials and examples to help people learn how to spot problems.
Engineers and supervisors are currently receiving training at the lab.
This is part of NFR's effort to improve train safety through new technology and better training.
Northeast Frontier Railway's (NFR) Lumding Division inaugurated a new Ultrasonic Flaw Detection (USFD) Laboratory.
The lab aims to enhance rail safety by detecting flaws in rails and welds.
It includes calibration samples, probes, and educational resources.
The facility will provide training to P.Way supervisors and engineers.
Training is underway for Assistant Divisional Engineers and Senior Section Engineers.
