Female Participation Rises in PM Internship Scheme's Second Round
The number of women applying for a government internship program jumped up.
The government thinks this is because they told more people about the program, and made some changes like showing exactly where the internships were located.
They also showed what the companies did.
In the first round, about the same number of women applied as got internships.
The new round has many more opportunities.
Female applications for the PM Internship Scheme increased from 31% to 41% in the second round.
The increase is attributed to outreach programs and changes to the scheme.
28% of the recruited interns in the first round were female, consistent with the application rate.
Over 118,000 internship opportunities were available in the second round across 735 districts.
