Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey vs. Homer's Epic
Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, is trying to get back home after the Trojan War.
On his journey, he faces many challenges and adventures.
He meets the Lotus-eaters, who make people forget their homes, and escapes from a giant Cyclops named Polyphemus.
He also visits the enchantress Circe, who turns his men into pigs, and later visits the Underworld to seek advice.
After many more adventures, including being held captive by the nymph Calypso, he finally returns to Ithaca.
There, he finds his home overrun by suitors trying to marry his wife, Penelope.
With the help of his son Telemachus, he confronts and defeats the suitors, reclaiming his kingdom.
