This gas hurt many people and made them sick.
For a very long time, the dangerous waste from the accident was left at the factory.

Now, the Chief Minister of the state has said that a memorial will be built at the factory to remember the people who were hurt or died in the accident.
The government wants to make sure everyone is included in planning the memorial and that it is built in a way that is respectful and meaningful.

The memorial will be built after consulting all sections of society and under the guidance of the High Court.
