India's Mustard Acreage Rises 4.3% by December 15, 2025

India has seen a 4.3% increase in mustard farming areas by December 15, 2025, compared to the same time last year.

This means more land is being used to grow mustard.

The report by Agriwatch for the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA) shows that states like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and others have more mustard fields this year.

Most mustard plants are now at different stages of growth, from flowering to forming seeds.

The weather has been good, with no recent rain but enough soil moisture to help the crops grow.

There are some pests, but not enough to harm the crops.

Farmers are using special plant types and giving them water and nutrients to help them grow better.

The report also mentions that some areas had to replant mustard because of early rain, but the new plants are doing well now.

The next update will give more details in January 2026.
