Vance Says Trump Can Break With Netanyahu When Needed

JD Vance said the United States and Israel are close partners.

However, he said the two countries do not always want the same things.

Vance said President Donald Trump can disagree with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when necessary.

He explained that America must make decisions based on what it believes is best for Americans.

He also said US policy in the Middle East should not simply follow Israel’s wishes.

Vance compared this to America’s relationships with countries in NATO.

He said partners can work together while still disagreeing.

The United States is also considering a large weapons sale to Israel, but it has not been completed.
