Namma Metro Pink Line Set for Partial 2026 Opening
The Namma Metro Pink Line in Bangalore is getting closer to opening.
BEML, a company making trains, is building new driverless trains.
The company is also expanding its train-making facilities with a new production line in Bangalore and a new factory in Bhopal.
The above-ground part of the Pink Line is ready, but the underground section is still being built.
The metro company hopes to start using the new trains by early 2026.
However, there might be some delays because they are waiting for important parts from Japan.
Once the first train arrives, testing will begin.
Namma Metro's Pink Line is set for a partial opening by early 2026.
BEML Ltd is manufacturing 20 driverless trainsets for the Pink Line.
The elevated section from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere is ready.
The underground stretch between Dairy Circle and Nagawara is still under construction.
Delays in receiving key parts from Japan may affect delivery of the trains.
