Professors Say UGC-NET Retest Cannot Replace Accountability

Professors Say UGC-NET Retest Cannot Replace Accountability

The UGC-NET is an important exam for students who want teaching or research careers.

The exam agency has ordered another test for three subjects.

English and Commerce students will take it on September 9, and Sociology students will take it on September 10.

Some students said questions were repeated from older exams.

Sociology students also found several spelling mistakes in names and terms.

Professors agree that a new test may be needed if the papers were seriously flawed.

However, they say simply holding another test does not explain how the mistakes happened.

They want the exam system to improve so students do not suffer from the same problems again.

They also advise students to prepare while continuing to pursue admissions and other opportunities.
