TTP Chief Claims Presence Inside Pakistan, Challenges Afghanistan Narrative

TTP Chief Claims Presence Inside Pakistan, Challenges Afghanistan Narrative

A group called the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, or TTP, has released a new video.

The video shows their leader, Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud, moving around inside Pakistan.

Pakistan's government has long said the group's leaders hide in Afghanistan, but this video seems to challenge that.

In the video, the leader asks other fighting groups to join together against Pakistan's military.

He also promises more attacks and says he supports fighters in Kashmir and Palestine.

This video comes just days after a big bombing in Swat, Pakistan, killed 13 people.

Eight of the people killed were police officers.

No one said they did that attack, but the TTP did claim another small bombing in Peshawar.

Pakistan and Afghanistan argue about where these fighters come from, and Pakistan has carried out air strikes.

Nobody outside the group has confirmed whether this video is real.
