India's Textile Exports Show Modest Growth Amid Global Challenges
India's clothing and textile exports have seen a small increase of 0.1% in the first half of the year compared to last year.
This is happening even though there are some global challenges.
Many countries, like the UAE and Japan, are buying more from India.

The sale of clothes and jute products is doing particularly well.
The government is also helping by lowering taxes on handmade items, like jute bags and wooden crafts, from 12% to 5%.
This helps local artists sell more of their goods and compete with factory products.
These efforts show India is trying to sell more things to different countries and make its own industries stronger.

Exports to 111 countries collectively showed a 10% growth, reaching $8,489.08 million.
Key growth markets included UAE (14.5%), Japan (19.0%), Egypt (27%), and Hong Kong (69%).
Ready-made garments (3.42% growth) and Jute (5.56% growth) were the main drivers of this increase.
