High Court Seeks Report on ₹43 Crore Paddy Transport Allegations

A court is looking into claims that paddy transport in Madhya Pradesh involved serious irregularities.

The alleged issue may involve ₹43.03 crore and 28 districts.

Petitioners say some paddy meant for making ethanol was sold before reaching its destination.

They also say vehicles were supposed to use GPS to monitor the deliveries.

Some FIRs have been filed, and arrests have been made in Jabalpur and Balaghat.

The petitioners asked for an investigation by the CBI or CID.

The High Court has asked the state government to investigate the allegations.

The government must give the court a detailed report within six weeks.

The court will hear the matter again on November 16.
