Kerala High Court Rebukes Lawyers in Money Mule Case

Kerala High Court Rebukes Lawyers in Money Mule Case

The Kerala High Court heard a case about a young man’s frozen bank account.

More than Rs 50 lakh moved through the account in about 15 days.

The court decided that the account may have been used as a money mule.

A money mule is someone whose account is used to move money for others.

The judge refused to unfreeze the account.

The judge also told police to register an FIR against the account holder.

The court criticised the lawyers for permitting statements that conflicted with documents.

It said lawyers must help protect the fairness of the judicial system.
