Lockheed Martin Offers C-130J with India Production Hub
The Indian Air Force (IAF) is looking to buy up to 80 new transport planes.
Lockheed Martin, a big American aerospace company, is offering its C-130J Super Hercules planes.
They say these planes are great for moving things and people quickly.
If India chooses them, Lockheed Martin will set up a big factory in India to make these planes.
This would be the first such factory outside the United States.
The IAF already has 12 of these planes and uses them for different jobs.
Other companies like Embraer and Airbus are also trying to sell their planes to India.
Lockheed Martin says their planes are the best choice and will help India work better with other countries like the US, Australia, and Japan.
They also say they can make the planes quickly and even export them to other countries.
The C-130J has been used by many countries and has over 3 million flight hours.
It can do many different jobs like carrying soldiers, helping in rescues, and more.
Lockheed Martin is also adding new technology to the planes, like special cameras and artificial intelligence.
Lockheed Martin proposes C-130J Super Hercules for IAF's procurement of up to 80 transport planes.
IAF currently operates 12 C-130Js and seeks to replace ageing Soviet-era aircraft.
Lockheed Martin offers to set up a mega production hub in India, the first outside the US.
Competitors include Embraer's KC-390 and Airbus's A-400M.
Lockheed Martin highlights the C-130J's versatility, proven track record, and potential for future innovations.
