Western India Leads in New Public Infrastructure Project Approvals for FY26

Imagine the government is planning to build new roads, train lines, and other big projects.

In the first half of this year (called FY26), they approved projects that are worth much more money than last year.

Even though they approved fewer new projects overall, the ones they did approve are much bigger and costlier.

States in western India, like Maharashtra and Rajasthan, got approval for the most valuable projects.

Maharashtra is getting a new metro line and a port, while Rajasthan is getting a big solar power project.

This shows the government is focusing on large, important projects that can help the economy grow a lot, rather than many small ones.

Some of these big projects include a very long train line and a plan to fix problems in old coal mining areas.
