Delhi appoints IAS officers as observers for SIR
The Delhi government has appointed four senior IAS officers as observers to oversee the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.
This exercise involves updating the electoral rolls to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date.
The observers will visit different districts to ensure that the process is transparent and that any concerns from voters are addressed.
The observers will be active during the claims and objections phase, which runs from August 17 to September 16, and the disposal of claims and objections, which runs from September 17 to October 15.
The final electoral rolls will be published on October 19.
The observers will also visit during the verification of the working copy by the Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
The goal is to make sure that the entire process is fair and that all voters' concerns are taken care of.
