Tigers and Leopards Exploring New Areas in Telangana
Some tigers from Maharashtra and a leopard have been moving into new areas in Telangana.
They have been seen in different districts like KB Asifabad, Peddapalli, Kamareddy, and GK Veedhi mandal of ASR district.
Forest officials think these animals are moving because there are now more safe paths for them to travel.
People in these areas are being told to be careful and stay safe.
They should not go into forests alone, stay home during certain times, and tell officials if they see a tiger or leopard.
Harming these animals is against the law and can lead to punishment.
Tigers from Maharashtra's Tadoba-Andhari tiger reserve and Tippershwar wildlife sanctuary are exploring new areas in Telangana.
A leopard was sighted in GK Veedhi mandal of Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) district, possibly from the Papikondalu National Park area.
At least two tigers have crossed into KB Asifabad district, with one reaching Kamareddy district and another entering Peddapalli district.
Forest officials are actively searching for the animals and alerting local populations to take safety measures.
People are advised to avoid forests, not go alone into fields, and return home by 4 pm to stay safe from the animals.
